Problem & Solution: Tibi.com re-platformed from Magento 1 to Shopify Plus after a 6-month evaluation process. The objective of the new platform was to serve Tibi’s current needs while allowing the brand the flexibility to grow with the greatest financial net benefit. The transition was accompanied by a re-branding that navigated Tibi’s growth. The implementation was completed in 7 months in collaboration with Blue Acorn, a digital commerce and UX agency.

Implementation Design Phase:
Discover & Design
Discovery ensures all parties understand roles and responsibilities as well as website features, integrations, migrations, and UX requirements. Blue Acorn’s discovery team reviews the native Shopify + platform behavior and compares it to Tibi’s needs. Any third party system (ie ERP, ESP, CMS, live chat) interacting with Shopify + is documented and integration specifications are recorded. Tibi’s data (customer, order history, product, etc) is reviewed and mapped to Shopify +’s native data format.
UX & Development
User Experience includes the layout and design of all functionality that was proposed in the Discovery sessions and applying the learnings from the UX Discovery. This involved the creation of a UI library, unique theming, integration of 3rd-party apps, and data migration. The goal is to complete a highly creative, and data-driven design that can be executed by the development & engineering teams.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
UAT & Remediation is the process of determining the completeness of scope, documenting site defects, and determining remediation for defects. During Remediation Classification, Tibi’s ecom team is expected to review the entire site and report sites defects.
Design Elements
Collaborated with UX and UI designers to create library of global elements such as web fonts, colors, typography, buttons, etc.
